Where They Live: Snow Leopards belong in boreal and tundra biomes. They live in very cold mountains located in central Asia. They can be found in twelve countries, but up to sixty percent live in China.
The Land: The land is rugged. Snow leopards like rocky cliffs and ravines. Only grass and small shrubs can be found growing at the altitude Snow Leopards inhabit.
Climate: Snow Leopards live in a very cold, dry climate. There is also very little precipitation.
Food Chain
Who Eats Them: These cats are at the top of the food chain in the wild, with no natural predators. However, humans hunt them either for their fur and bones, or to keep their livestock safe.
What They Eat: Snow Leopards eat wild sheep and goats. They will usually hunt these large animals every eight to ten days, but will also eat grass and small plants in between.
